My first post

Well here goes. Having read quite a number of walking and backpacking blogs, I decided to take the plunge. It would be good to think that I could in time have loads of avid followers, and it would be great if this happens. However at the very minimum it will act as a record for me of my trips, gear thoughts and reviews. If others find this blog interesting and can gain like I have from the excellent blogs such as blogpackinglight and PTC* amongst others then all the better.
